With its drag-and-drop functionalities, built-in exercise library, customization options, and summary section, Hevy Coach allows you to quickly and efficiently build individual workouts and programs.

Use the filters and search bar to find the movements or variations you want to prescribe and add them to the workout.
Pair two exercises into a superset to save your clients time. Better yet, bundle multiple activities for fun circuit workouts.
See the number of sets and how much work each muscle is going to get from the workout.
Our workout builder comes with a built-in RPE scale. Use it to instruct your client how hard to train on each set to further tailor each workout to their needs, allowing for more effective training and fatigue management.
Our workout builder comes with a rich exercise library where you can find the right activity among hundreds of options. Each entry is complete with helpful information, step-by-step instructions, and an instructional animation.
The training variables (exercises, sets, weights, reps, and RPE) load automatically in the app. Your client's job is to mark each set as complete as they go through the workout.
The rest timers you assign in the workout builder activate when your client completes a set. They see the timer and are notified when rest time is over.
Custom notes you add to exercises to clarify something, remind your clients of important cues, or add helpful information is displayed below the name of the exercise for them.
Your clients can click on any exercise to track their progress and previous best performances (like a 1RM or best set volume), displayed on a graph.
The Hevy Coach workout builder offers multiple options to meet your client’s needs and simplify the process for you. First, add a name to each workout (e.g., Upper A), a routine note for the client, and the ability to enable RPE via a toggle button.
Second, use the library to find the right activities in seconds thanks to the built-in filters and search bar.
Third, adjust all relevant training variables: rest period (5-second increments), number of sets, the type of each set (default is Normal), rep or rep range target, and RPE target.
To change the type of a set, click on the number on the left side (below SET) and select from the pop-up menu. You can also select between rep and rep range targets by clicking on REPS.
Include a custom note on any exercise, such as if your client needs a reminder during training (e.g., “Hold the bottom position for a count of 2.”), or you want to explain something––for instance, why you’ve programmed a specific movement.
For added personalization, pair two movements into a superset. You can even pair multiple exercises to create circuits for density training.
To top it off, you don’t need to build new workouts from scratch every time. Once you click the + Add Routine button inside the program library, our strength coaching platform provides the option to import any routine stored in your profile. This can be a workout you’ve built previously or imported from the Hevy Coach program library.
This would be particularly beneficial if you work with many clients or coach a group of athletes with similar strength training needs, such as a basketball or football team.
Yes, you can create an unlimited number of custom exercises with a photo, type, primary and secondary muscle targets, and step-by-step instructions. You can also upload MP4 video files or add links to instructional YouTube videos.
The default state for sets is Normal. However, you can click on the number of each set to change it to warm-up, drop set, or to failure.
To create a superset of two exercises, click the three dots icon (top right on any exercise you’ve added to a workout), select + Add to Superset option, and choose a second movement from the list that appears. You can make multiple pairs of supersets. Alternatively, select the + Add to Superset option for all movements in a workout and add them to the same superset to create a circuit.
Yes. To do that, click on the REPS button on an exercise you’ve added to a workout and select Rep Range from the pop-up window.
The summary for each workout shows the total number of sets and exercises, a muscle distribution visual, and a set count per muscle group. That way, you can see how much direct and indirect work each muscle group gets.
Add a note for the whole workout in the box field below the title section on top. You can also add individual custom notes for all exercises in the box field below the name of the movement. This only applies to movements you’ve added to a workout.
One simple option is to select Clients in the menu on the left, finding the specific client from your list, and clicking on Edit program. This will provide access to the specific client’s assigned workout plan and individual routines. From there, select the routine you want to edit and adjust the necessary training variables.
Any exercise that’s classified as Weight Reps, Weighted Bodyweight, Assisted Bodyweight, or Weight & Distance (in our library or a custom one you’ve created) comes with a KG or LBS section, where you can provide a weight target for each set.
Build workouts using movements from our library or by creating your own custom exercises.
